Black head...red stockings...now THERE is a fashion statement if ever there was one! I've never seen one of these critters before and I'm glad this is my first. What a shot this is. You caught this beauty so clearly and so crisply. I'm glad I saw it. I love the way it stands out against the slightly darker background. Well seen and well presented. I like this a lot.

C'est pas une espèce particulière, mais juste une mouette rieuse (Larus ridibundus) en plumage nuptial (avec son capuchon brun foncé - qui paraît souvent noir - et son bec et pattes rouge foncé Superbe image en plein vol (il m'en reste encore quelques unes aussi, je viens de terminer un collage et le posterai dans quelques jours)
