Description
Another episode of my fictional squadron. Before anyone comments on it...shiny paint and no dirt. That's the way they were when I was in. So, that's how I paint 'em. :->

I love the touch with the air vortex, or whatever they are called!!.

thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. A little clarification on the plume in the upper left. It's a vapor trail from condensed moisture. With a loaded rail, it doesn't form right at the wing tip.

I like it! Two comments: the image seems a little crowded into the bottom right corner, with most of the left side of the frame looking a little empty. Also, the missile seems to be set at a different angle than the exhaust trail right next to it -- they don't seem to line up quite right.

Well...this is just one of the best air pics I've seen. Nice & clean. I like the angle - adds to the impression of movement. Just excellent all around.

Great work. Nice blurring on the amraam (sp?)

just spectacular- i did notice- on the pylons and wingtips, are those all the same missles? usually an F/A-18D like this would have 2 AIM-9M sidewinders on the wingtips, and 4 AIM-120 AMRAAMs under the wing, and PMT- it was nice blurring on the missile, but AMMRAAMs are only used (to my knowledge) by Britain and the US, and they don't shoot at eachother, so my guess would be that the missile shot at the hornet would be an AA-10 Alamo, fired by SU-27s, which is an Active Radar seeking missile, or an AA-8 Aphid, favored by the MiG-29C, which is an IR homing missile. Either way- the image is great!
