Description

My new job is taking up quite a chunk of my time at the moment but I've managed to find a couple of hours to create this. I've used the images I've upload this week.

Saw your comment at Juliette Gribnau's water photo we do not have too worry to much in the Netherlands.. even though the country is under the level of the sea.. we are relatively rich as a nation and have used the money well in making the dunes wider (giving land back to nature), re-opening old canals in the cities that were once closed, intalling mega pumping installations near lakes and the North Sea that can handle 20.000 liter per second ! and inland there are dams and dikes around the rivers.. and if they are overflowed there is land behind it that serves as buffer. It can overflow and when that land is full there are new dams and dikes and another set of pomps. We learned our lessons during the many centuries of battle against the sea. It costs money to build it.. but it saves soooo much in repair-costs that we do not have to spend.. and lifes.. most of all lifes of animals and people.
