Description

Zathyrius Magus lived in the darkest of the dark ages, when knowledge and understanding were at their very ebb in the world. Zathyrius isolated himself from this intolerant and ignorant world in a massive gothic castle deep in the mountains of central Europe. For he was a magus, a magician, a sorcerer to some....and a very powerful one. Those who would persecute him should have feared even to attempt to do so, for his power would have swept them away. Zathyrius is long gone, but many of his disciples have passed down his secrets through the centuries. Those of present time cast themselves as "goths," and in attracting attention to themselves in this way, disguise their true nature as magicians and sorcerers. They come to the ruins of Zathyrius' castle where the magic still flows as if from the very stones. There they gather on moonlit nights to channel the still present force of their ancient master and release his magic into the world anew! Please zoom for a more detailed view! Beautiful work on this! I love the magical effects as well, it adds to the mystique. I am a fan of stories that accompany an image. Being a hobbyist of writing , this does treat my mind to more of the history that made this image. Delightful.

Definitely some great channeling going on here. Especially like the very subtle edge light that you use to separate the Goth figures from the ruins of Zathyrius Magus' castle. Am waiting for the next installment.
