Description

Inspired from the poem from John Masefield "Sea Fever" My render could have been about todays tall ships where a young man transfixed with the Dolphins or an able seaman many years ago who has been ordered to paint or repair the bowsprit. It's up to you to decide because I have not decide yet. Having said that I was in the Royal Navy for 8 years. It was a difficult render to create, I decided not to add Sea spray probably because I didn't want to change what I have done so far, also, the rolling sea which uses 3 terrians and of course my previous 'Bahamas' which added the atmos clouds rendering time which is approximatly 24 hours or longer. Minimal Photoshop, and a hell of lot of fun. Noggins provided the seagulls. Young man from Poser/Daz Studio M4 Thanks for taking your time to have a look. Sea Fever by John Masefield I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a gray mist on the sea's face, and a gray dawn breaking. I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying. I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life, To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover, And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

Well, to me his pose indicates he's fixing something. But I want to believe he's more interested in the dolphins. And if that is so, I want to change places with him! :-D Beautiful image! Lovely water. Fantastic clouds! Corrie

This is some fantastic perspective work. Love the angle you took.. the playful leap of dolphins. That sea is awesome and the clouds so natural!
