Description

...A knight is escorting a boy (probably some nobleman's son) and needs be sure he's on the right track. Two local, somewhat amazone-like tribe women, are helpful. They are not always that, on the contrary. But maybe they fancy the knight. A little shift of theme, not too much though - a sort of medieval/fantasy composition, but with much focus on the light and vegetation as usual :) Actually the idea came from making the oak trees in Onyx and Vue (for texturing). They needed to be in some fantasy setting. Of course a story to go with it would be nice - feel free to make up your own :) Vue 8.4 render, a few modifications, framing & signature with Photoshop. Items from DAZ, various web resources and myself. Freestuff credits (ShareCG): "M3 Norman Knight" by "Lourdes" with "10 Knight" texture set by "Iscaroit". "Galadriel Dress" with "Deep Forest Texture" by "Andolaurina" (Kids4 version). Some more tech stuff: The Poser imports were made via Collada export incl. texture reduction, Vue couldn't handle them all as Poser PZ3 (not even when saved individually as VOB.) Thanks for viewing and comments etc. Just realized that this is my first upload for 2011. Have a nice day, Lars

Excellent, most excellent. For the first, some human figures always greatly enhance a landscape scene. For the second, to place the image on the borderline between reality and fantasy is the right place to be IMO. Accordingly I would have preferred that the "tribe women" had a lite more clothes or even that they were ordinary peasants but one cant get everything! The lighting is magnificent.

good job love the lighting, the poser figures and especially the trees, nice varieity of grasses and weeds...only negative I see is the bark on the left tree looks a little fake. Looks like I need to learn Onyx for your trees on your previous renders plus this one looks fantastic.

Every thing about this is incredible! The superb lighting along with your equally as wonderful trees really make this one shine. I can try, but I just can't say enough nice things about this render. Stupendous work Lars!

Beautiful scene and really wonderful lighting. The foreground tree on the left looks like the bark isn't quite right though...

Excellent work. The light is perfect. I like the bright foreground and glowing background. Gives the feel of a very warm day. I think maybe he should just stay where he is.
