Description

hi all, Edit mid Feb: Cornelis is sort of recovered, and posting in his own gallery again. Thanks for all the warm words. = = = Repost in Fractal category, in case someone missed the 2D - Illustration. = = = this is just my way to pass a message from RocSerum to you all. I will pass your comments back to him, in return. = = = A message from Roc Serum ( Cornelis) at the Red Cross Hospital, Beverwijk, Holland First of all: Things are developing well now. Since a couple of weeks I got very short of breath. I visited my GP and he concluded that I became yellow as well. (Jaundice?) So I went to the hospital to get my blood tested. Result: Failing auto-immune system. Seems my own body is destroying the haemoglobin, leading to a deficit of oxygen in the blood. This also means trouble for the liver, resulting in said jaundice. They kept me in the hospital. So last weekend my blood was send to a special lab in Amsterdam for extensive testing. Precautionary they gave me Prednison, which, fortunately, did me well. I feel a whole lot better now. Dont have to sit down brushing my teeth. Still gasping when I exert myself (too much talking!) Old habits return... Bloodvalues stil not quite good, this afternoon they gave me a bonemarrow-puncture. Thats where the blood is created. And of course the usual bloodtests to compare to earlier tests. It was not too bad though, doctors and nurses are very easy communicating and willing to answer all my questions. I hope to return home before the weekend (there seemed to be the suggestion, you never know...) Thats the report of my physical troubles, just a message to all who want to know. Also to release Christine from answering all the calls she got. Thanks to everybody who showed interest. Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis Beverwijk, The Netherlands Kamer 115 Next message from my home again. I hope.

"Ah, Cornelis, I am so relieved to here your story coming from you. It shows you are thinking clearly and optimistic about going home soon. After not finding your art posted for so long, I became very concerned and had I not seen this post today, I was planning on sending you email this evening to check on you. Get back on your feet soon and, please keep me informed on your health." (thank you for passing this message on to Cornelis)

Auto-immuun ziektes zijn, op zijn zachtst gezegd, heel vervelend. Hopelijk knap je snel weer op, Cornelis. Beterschap!

Thanks to all of you for your nice remarks, I forwarded them all to Cornelis / Roc serum. In the meantime, he's sort of recovered, alive and (mildly) kicking, and posting in his own gallery again since about the beginning of Feb. An image a day keeps the doctor away, I hope.
