What a portrait! WOW! I have yet to try HDR, but this is one of those images that makes me want to try. I've done so few portraits. I have a few, but this inspires me to want to make more. The aged feel of this gives a particular sort of emotional weight, if that makes any kind of sense. This could be a picture taken yesterday or a century ago...it doesn't matter. There's a kind of presence in this kind of photography that actually defies time; I think it's because the focus is human and no matter what anyone says, things always change, but humans always remain human. Stubbornly! This is a fantastic shot, and a great intro to your gallery. Its also making a trip into my favorites.
