Love the arts in all their forms: Fine Art, Music, Writing, etc. A traditional painter for many years, my introduction to painting on the computer came in 1999. As time goes by I find myself spending more and more time with my tablet and pen in hand. Guess I could have a worse addiction. Since the begining of 2006 I have immersed myself into the wonderful world of photography. I have learned so much in that time and feel ready to share my stuff with you now. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but stay tuned for a daily flood of my recent captures, :)
BIO
Hello everyone! My name is John Minelli. For as long as I can remember I have had a love of the arts in all of their forms and have been striving to be the be the best that I can be. Even though I have been creating art for many years, I still feel like an infant. I find it fascinating that every time that I pick up a brush, pencil or tablet and pen I still learn something new. Although I live in Savannah, GA, USA., I have a great love of Europe; especially Italy. I spent several years working in the Middle East and took several vacations in Europe. I fell in love with Rome and plan on going back to Italy as soon as possible.

looks okay in my view.....and overcast is not always handy......still a nice shot...I know about the weight I use also the 400mm and a 500mm lens..it can be very heavy if you caring it a whole day....

Be interesting to see if you can still achieve the same sharpness in your images with the converter. This one lacks the normal crispness of your shots. I just wonder if it's the tele converter effect?

That is pretty good detail for a converter shot, far better than I would have expected from my bad experience with one. Perhaps the question should be, how much sharpness is really required? There is a softness of light and color in this shot that seems more important to me right now.

You may have lost some light using the converter, but this looks perfect for me and the benefit of lighter equipment can be a huge advantage.
