In 1800, Paris is enhanced by architecture that marked his image more than in other eras. In fact belong to the nineteenth lN'Arco Étoile de Triomphe, the Arc du Carrousel, the Vendôme Column, the Madeleine church, the Hôtel de Ville, the Opera, the Petit Palais and the Eiffel Tower, built in 1889 for the World Fair and became the symbol of the city. One wonders why a city like Paris, full of monuments, works of art and architecture as a prestigious symbol has spread throughout the world, an iron tower, which resembles a giant lattice distance of the light .. Perhaps the key lies in the fact that it is built in the Age of Enlightenment. At this point symbol itself becomes a symbol that the era it represents. An era full of charm and vitality, discoveries and achievements. But above all, the era that places man in front of himself and his abilities.
The Tour embodies the spirit of this century and became its symbol. The tour by Gustave Eiffel - to 7,000-tonnes was inaugurated by the Prince of Galle who later became King Edward VII of England. At first, Torre did not find the consent of all, opponents stand between the names of Guy de Maupassant, Emile Zola and Charles Garnier. In 1909, he was saved from being demolished. At the beginning of 1910 was part of the Service Time.
With its height of 320.75 meters well in 1930 represented the highest building in the world. When the evening is as light is truly a unique sight! Actually only had to keep lighting to celebrate the arrival of the year 2000, but despite the high consumption, the company that manages the metal tower had a huge demand it again. So for 10 minutes every hour is illuminated with 352 projectors of 1000 watts, and at night is lit by 20,000 light bulbs in residence and 800 lights.
Today, a system can reduce fuel consumption. The tower, which now has 1652 steps to reach the top, has three levels. From the top floor you can enjoy a breathtaking view. On the 2nd floor is a well-known restaurant, the Jules Verne. Take place on the 3rd bar, gift shop and the restored office of Gustave Eiffel.

Beautiful POV. We have visited Paris, and toured the Eiffel Tower. We went all the way to the top. Astounding view of Paris from there. Loved it there.
