Description
A priestess in Athena's temple, Medusa was originally a beautiful, maiden, pursued by many fellas. But when she made the almost fatal mistake of getting too cozy with Poseidon in, no less than, Athena's temple, Athena was driven wild crazy. To punish Medusa, Athena transformed her beautiful locks into serpents and made her face so horrific to behold that the mere sight of it would turn the onlooker into stone.
When one thinks of Medusa, they see in their mind's eye an ugle monster. But there is another side to her story. She really is a tragic figure, filled with loneliness and pain. My depiction is to show that inner pain, and not to depict her as a monster. Besides, few sympathize with ugly ;)
Home sick today with some damned stomach thing...so thought I'd try to take my mind off the tummy (with the too many visits to the loo) with a little Poser :)
Thanks for the view. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
