Description

Couldn't sleep and this is the result. She's the Rust Queen. I'm the insomniac. V3 is wearing a MAT that was part of "Metalika: Mechanical Doll" by Vali, Placebo and Lori that--unfortunately--is no longer in the Store. Too bad, it has some fine textures and a really nice metal skirt prop. After years of ranting about V3's balloon shoulders, this morning I discovered a morph called "ShlderSmall" concealed near the end of the Muscularity INJ folder between Serratus and Soleus! Pretty neat, except that if there ever was a corresponding prop morph in one of V3's outfits, I never noticed that either. The render uses IBL lighting with a couple of Fills and an Edge Light set to 300 percent. The background is a combination of PS brushes and photos. There are some hanging cables from Ron's Sci-Fi brush set at DAZ and Mystical's Thorn brushes in the RND Store. I'm just getting back into 3D after a year's hiatus and I'm amazed to discover that projects like this one are taking of couple of hours, instead of a couple of days. Partly it's a new quad-core computer that renders a 4000x5000 Ambient Occlusion file in 10-15 minutes with Poser 8 -- and in just a couple of minutes with DAZ Studio. But mostly it's that I finally decided it's OK to use packed poses and IBL light kits--at least as a starting point. Thanks for looking. Comments appreciated.

I love the lighting and composition on this. I also know what you mean about the insomnia... though Poser is partly to blame in my case "Right, I'll just spend an hour on this render..." (5 hours later and the birds are singing outside) "5am?!?! WTF?!" yawn!
