Description

The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is a wild goose belonging to the genus Branta, which is native to arctic and temperate regions of North America, having a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brownish-gray body. Canada Geese have reached northern Europe naturally. The birds are of at least the subspecies parvipes, and possibly others. Greater Canada Geese have also been introduced in Europe, and have established populations in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Scandinavia. Picture taken at Louvain-la-Neuve’s lake in December 2010. Thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload: thumb_2159897.jpg "Do you recognize the place ?"

Beau duo. En tout cas elles n' ont pas l' air farouche. Je te souhaite de les revoir et peut être pouvoir shoter un envol.

Fine photo of these avian visitors. When I lived in Kansas we were on the north-south flyway for large numbers of Canadian Geese. They look great but what a mess they leave wherever they go.

Elles sont fachées ? J'aime bien l'arrière plan avec les herbes mortes dans la glace.
