Description

Edificio de La Equitativa (To the left of the image.) Description This is one of the interesting buildings in the so-called "rational style" of San Sebastián, built in 1930 by the architect Arzadun. It is particularly noteworthy for its location, next to the river, which means it is surrounded by a large open space. Because of its position at the corner of the block, it has an interesting combination of lines: straight on the side facades and curved on the end corner. The white colour, in a stonework setting, is also of note. La Equitativa is one of the buildings that altered the city's architectural look after the influence of the eclectic style had been surpassed.
