Description

Colarity / PSP Thank you for stopping for a look, any and all comments are always welcome and appreciated Someone mentioned this fractal generator the other day. I found a copy and downloaded it. It is actually very simular to APO in how you build your images. It does have 1 giant difference from any other fractal generator i have tried so far. There is absolutly no rendering time. When you have the image looking how you want it on the work screen, you just press save image as a jpeg and it is intantly saved. APO you need to render to save it and same with UF and MB3D. I would recommend any one that enjoys APO may enjoy trying this one, but it is not near as popular so has some limitations in not having as many plug-ins built, although there is several preloaded ones. Have a gread weekend. Jim Yesterday's Image: thumb_2160535.jpg

Looks like you're hooked on fractals. Something about this one that conjurers up images of the fourth of July -- not a bad thing on snowy January morning.

Splendid Starburst, well done. I've looked at Colarity myself, the realtime fractal exploration is nice but I'll stick with a Raytrace Render engine for quality of image. Although there is a lot of work being done on GPU Realtime Rendering of Fractals it's pretty much only for those with the latest Multicore highspeed processors and lots and lots of RAM. My poor old P4/HT and 3 Gig of Ram already starts squeeking on a complex MB3D piece so Realtime will have to wait till I win the Lottery. Peace

Interesting test. It looks like the lack of render also means there is little or no anti-aliasing, so saving a very large image then reducing the size in a graphics program would be necessary. But then, that's what I do for all my images :)
