zapper1977: the bubbles drove me crazy so they are a combination of things, I'll email or post a shader when I get back into Lightwave. The way they are made though break the normal accepted techniques. Basically they are a multicolored incidence angle, big turbulence to throw the shape off a little and I threw an incidence angle in refraction (a weird experiment) but it worked well altering it enough that I finally started liking them more. Because the refraction incidence angle pushes the refraction to the edge I pushed the amount of refraction pretty high to include some on the front also, it's at about 4. They are not the standard surface out/surface in objects, they are single objects, single sided so the render times are not too bad. Someday I'll make bubbles with inside surfaces, can only improve them, but I'm impatient with extremely long render times so this way was a good cheat. Thanks for taking the time to see the image and for the great feedback!

ShadowWind: thanks for the kind comments and noting the layout and textures. The camera angle is kind of a "first person shooter"... it's from the perspective of my 10 yr old sitting on the porch blowing the thousands of bubbles I've seen fly. Thanks for taking the time to see the image and for the feedback.

beyondMyth: that's it! somewhere in the air are zillions of bubbles, there's some magic to that as kids send them into flight. Thanks for taking the time to see the image and for the feedback, glad you liked it.

Great work man! ;-)

Cool. I like the bubbles. The leaves on the trees are kinda strange. But a great image overall.

Thanks Guillermo!

dif: later realized I had the clip maps applied to the leaves incorrectly, they are now real leaf and plant shapes of all kinds and the shadows represent those shapes, gotta love Lightwave. Still learning much about it. Thanks for stopping to check out the image.
sscatola
brilliant work, tell us more about the trees;)
ooh3d
hey, sscatola! thanks for the great feedback. Trees, lots of Magic Bevelling, sprites and time...hehe. Thanks for checking out the image!
