That is NOT me in the picture!
Thanks for visiting my gallery! If you were redirected here from Culture Crunch, you will find the "alternate versions" of Didi and Kelly here, as well as a few prototypes, if you look hard enough.
Once upon a time, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool to make pictures of people on the computer?" Of course, at the time, I was thinking more along the lines of Max Headroom, but when Poser came out, I knew I had to have it. Yes, folks, I am one of the lucky few who has been using Poser since version 1!
Most people would agree that Poser 4 was the turning point, where it went from being a reference tool to a way to make real pictures (I won't say "real art") in its own right. Then came along someone named Victoria... And the rest is history!
Recently I've been getting into DAZ Studio quite a bit. I'm also trying to wrap my mind around LuxRender.

I wouldn't change a think if I were you. I can't speak for all, but I like your stories for the way they are. If you wanna drive readship up, maybe in between story arcs, do a picture for the pin-up, sci-fi or realism gallery. That way people who don't come into the comic gallery will see one of your pictures, and think, "Hey, this is cool. I wonder what else this guy does and they check out other parts of your gallery. Just a thought.

You know what, trying to crack a decent size rendo audience is hard work, it's loaded with getting into the in crowd, commenting tirelessly on multiple images until the reciprocation of doing so, grows your audience. I've seen this over and over, and unless you start a group, belong to a group, and start replying to all those who post and inviting viewers, you will continue to get us who love you and what you do, and those who now and then accidently run across your material and decide to comment. There are artists here are do AMAZING work, and cannot fill the first page in comments. I once filled up to three pages regularly when I ran a group, once that was done, it dropped back to the first and maybe, second page. There's WORK in what you want... on here, spending loads of time commenting on other's work, is one of the only ways of gaining a bigger viewer base

"filter all my ideas through What Sells" Even tv and movie execs don't know what sells. Look at how many tv shows and movies flop, even the ones that were "surefire hits." I think it was Scott McCloud who said if you try to do something just because you think it will sell you won't do it nearly as good as the guy who does it because he happens to like it. Think of it this way: Look at the room you are in, right now. Imagine all your hundred or so viewers all crowded into that room, all paying attention to you. Pretty **** impressive if you look at it like that, no? Another suggestion. Maybe start a blog or webcomic? You have a good sense of humor. Good luck.

First, great panels and I like your humor! You have more issues and points here. Why do someone make art and write in a place like Renderosity f.x.? Well, I can only speak for me. I do art and writing, most in the more funnier style but not without an edge! I do this I do here because I like to do what I do and I don't need someone to tell me what I should do instead. But I'm very glad for feed back, critic, ideas (and I try to remember to credit some for input to my long story). The worst thing is Mainstream! Look at boring music, TV and so on to day! The good artists, storytellers, directors etc. are these who haven't lost themselves to mass productions theories. The reason why I like Renderosity is this open artistic environment where we try to support and help each other! I see a lot of great artist here and they have not all been that from the start like me, who have to learn 3D from scratch 3 years ago. I feel at home here, like to see what everybody do - sometimes overwhelming to keep up with comments. Last: Create 3D stuff you like and write what you like to. That's what I do. The only way to improve your art and get moore response from others is hard work! But when you love what you do as I do - it is not hard in the hard way! ;o) Rhanagaz
