Description

This is the season for colds and flu... even my grandchildren no exception... they have had a high fever for several days! To brighten their days, my son bought a small aquarium! :) The photo was "treated" with the comics effect of PhotoFiltre and a bit the Fractalius effect of PhotoShop! I wish you a wonderful weekend! There is something very relaxing and healing about an aquarium. I remember way back when my kids (now in their early 40s) were little and we had this room off the kitchen (that used to be a porch), in which we put a large aquarium, a lot of plants like ferns on bricks along the wall, and filled in the rest of the floor with specially made mattresses. Then we covered the "floor" with a fake oriental carpet and a lot of large pillows. The whole family would gather in there and watch the fish, snails, and ghost shrimp for hours. The kids called the room the "Octopus's Garden" after the Beatles tune. Hope the grandkids are doing better now.

Yes... I am in that boat as well! This is definitely that time of year... the darkness, the highs and lows accompanied by the different moods and many variations of viruses.. :( A great idea though to brighten one's day for sure... young or old. I can just imagine how fascinating it would be to marvel at these lovely fish for hours! They are very lovely, and I do like the capture!
