Description

Hi friends, thanks for your countless comments and the favorites for my short railroad series! This here is the Rhein, seen at Duesseldorf, Germanys biggest river and a highway for freight ships between Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. This is Europes most important freight route on a river. We had a very cold and sharp winter in December with masses of snow - and then suddenly all broke, it began to rain and masses of snow melted in a short time. This here is the result: Masses and masses of water, and the old father Rhein is nearly bursting from its bed.... The river has changed into a great lake, and the water streams with 10 meters per second directly at the foot of this wall..... This spectacle happens all 10 years... Hope you enjoy this pic. WOAH! This is amazing! I love those stark trees, and the Rhine so high on its banks! WOW! This is quite amazing, and the information you provided is quite interesting. I've seen the Rhine, once...as a friend of mine would say: "He is an impressive river." And this is an impressive shot. Super!
