My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is absolutely stunning, Tara! Very beautiful capture. I'm wondering what Bill did with this?

EXCELLENT shot and narrative! (Harkens this old man back to the GREAT WALDO PEPPER movie days). SMILES.

No need for guess work here, it's a plane....or is it?. I know how your mind works, this could be a tractor, you've photographed at such an angle, it appears to be a plane..... Can see why you love this one (for now), it's a beaut. Silver, Black,Green,Brass and Cream... if you were asked to paint a picture with just those colours what would you think ? Another excellent slice of aviation, the very heart of the beast and some beautiful flowing lines from the good people at Hamilton Standard......

lovely section of plane

So well done. The richest colors and brightest highlights... This photo is a gem, just like the original object itself.

A beautiful capture of this lovely shiny plane. No wonder it is a favourite.

Shiny! It really looks lovely.

Well, willya look'it that! What a marvel! I love the green myself, but then I'm partial to green and black, or purple and black...it's just one of those things. I love the shine. It's quite obvious that this baby is well cared for, and that it's a biplane on top of that! NICE! This is one of those aviation shots that reminds me of why I like things that fly and go buzzing through airshows making people like me go "oooh and ahh" and that's always a good thing. Life's too short without a good "oooh" followed by a good "aaaah." This picture has loads of those.
moochagoo
Super view of that engine !

Yep - that's a mighty purdy plane! And you have a wonderful angle here, Tara! I want to get all touchy-feely around things like this, too! :-P Beautiful shot of a beautiful machine!

Stupendous! This is very well captured! Clive

WOW, that's too cool! Awesome shot....as usual!

They really knew how to build them back then. Such style. I imagine flying in one of these is like riding in an open top roadster or on a motorcycle. Done the first two, this one is still in my bucket list.
