Description

This has to be my favorite plane. Well ... at least right now! LOL! I reserve the right to like something else at another time. It has a round engine. Top marks for that. Love the chunky cowling! It's dark green, with black trim and cream wings. Wow. A color scheme that makes me want to stare forever! Perfect condition. Shiny paint. And it flies! 1941 Waco biplane. Did I mention it's a biplane? Damn. That is one pretty plane! You'll be proud of me, though. There were no fences, no ropes, nothing. I walked right up to it and took shots from inches away ... and never touched it even once! (I did postwork it when I got home. Can't keep my fingers off something like that forever!) :P

No need for guess work here, it's a plane....or is it?. I know how your mind works, this could be a tractor, you've photographed at such an angle, it appears to be a plane..... Can see why you love this one (for now), it's a beaut. Silver, Black,Green,Brass and Cream... if you were asked to paint a picture with just those colours what would you think ? Another excellent slice of aviation, the very heart of the beast and some beautiful flowing lines from the good people at Hamilton Standard......

Well, willya look'it that! What a marvel! I love the green myself, but then I'm partial to green and black, or purple and black...it's just one of those things. I love the shine. It's quite obvious that this baby is well cared for, and that it's a biplane on top of that! NICE! This is one of those aviation shots that reminds me of why I like things that fly and go buzzing through airshows making people like me go "oooh and ahh" and that's always a good thing. Life's too short without a good "oooh" followed by a good "aaaah." This picture has loads of those.

They really knew how to build them back then. Such style. I imagine flying in one of these is like riding in an open top roadster or on a motorcycle. Done the first two, this one is still in my bucket list.
