Description

Prototype Steampunk Render done on 11/6/2003. The head was created from a photo of clock movement that I bought on e-Bay. The torso is V2. Compositing done in PS. Background was created with a terrific brush-generating program called Paint Alchemy that was years ahead of its time. I had great fun driving the Photography Purists crazy by posting composites like this and "Beneath the Big City" on a photo-critiquing web site. It's hard to believe, but eight years ago there was still a vocal coterie of Ansel Adams disciples out there who considered images that mixed photography and 3D as a personal insult. May gravity be with you.

Very creative and wonderful art! I do remember those days of anything merged with photographs being looked at askance. I'm glad it's mostly gone now.

One of the most un-poserlike poser renders I have seen! This is a fantastic mixed medium piece. It's obvious that this creature's time has arrived.

Unusual, intriguing and kool ! Nice surrealistic over tones and as for those crits...I'm a multi-apps slut, so whatever it takes to get the result I'm after is all that matters to me ! Well done & ~Cheers~
