Description

The Quantocks are a range of hills in Somerset, UK. These Exmoor ponies have been introduced to help keep down scrub and other unwanted plant life. The ponies have a very thick coat which protects them from anything nature has to throw at them, they also have very long and thick eye lashes which keep the rain out of their eyes.

When I lived in Devon, I used to take hay up to Exmoor during the winter, as did many folk. They really are a wonderfully gentle horse for all their hardiness. Fabulous shot Jeff. ^=^
