Description

This is a PARODY intended for CRITICISM and is therefore protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America! One thing is certain: I'm far to old to appreciate MTV. I thought I should see what all the fuss was about, so I watched an episode of "Jersey Shore." About ten minutes into it, I started looking at the clock... To any Italians out there: if someone called you a "Guido juicehead gorilla," would you take it as a compliment? What if the one calling you this was a fellow Italian, er, Chilean raised by Italians? I also watched an episode of "Skins." Let's just say that I was thoroughly offended by it. Teenagers defend it, though, calling it "realistic." I think the show is getting some of the same criticism aimed at a certain type of popular music in recent years. It's not that it depicts the more antisocial aspects of a young person's life, it's that it doesn't portray them as being problems. Remember the old days, where such activities as prostitution, dealing drugs, overdosing on drugs, and stealing cars would at least be shown as having undesirable consequences? But what do I know... I'm too old to matter anymore. Also, remember a time when certain words were reserved for when you got really angry? Now these words are sprinkled in anytime a sentence needs to be longer. A response to a question posed in my last post: a "sitcom" or situation comedy is a type of dramatic presentation intended to be humorous. Television is its typical medium. That's odd, I was certain they had those in Europe... Or do they just call them something else? By the way, I created the short, tan girl in the picture for a story arc that never took off. The group was supposed to spend the day at the city pool but it was getting too close to winter for the story to make sense.

So much [Bleep] in the mouth ... ooh ... smells abysmal and is truly icky! You need to be dipped into a huuge cesspit for quite a long time to loose enough taste until you can consider these [Bleep]-spitting mouthes as cool. And yes, the sitcom-wave already sloshed to Europe quite a long way back. However, where I live it is still easy to stand completely clear of this kind of entertainment.

Something about Ivory Towers and those that dwell in them - I think they check their intelligence and common sense at the basement and forget about them. Great points about the current crop of sticoms suck slimey rocks at the bottom of a sewer holding tank

Do these women kiss their mothers with those mouths? :) I do like sitcoms and their movie relation, the romantic comedy. As I understand it, a situation comedy is where the comedy comes from the situation the characters find themselves in. I'll admit, I like some of them as of several years ago ("That 70s Show" being one of my favorites), but I also like ones like "The Dick Van Dyke Show" where even a little sexual innuendo was almost too much for the censors. Though I've never gotten the "reality shows" that are anything but real. Though to be honest I don't think I've ever been able to sit through a single episode so maybe I can't criticize.

I (bleeping) hate, how all these (Bleeping) reality shows insist on showing the absolute worse of society. I'm with you there, I have so outgrown MTV.

"Funny, I'm not" No truer words were spoken. Love the parody and the thought. Your rat is a killer.
