Description

"Houston, You've Got a Problem" Background was part of my Climate Change (2006-2008) series. The 3D Houston model and oil rigs were from Turbo Squid, rendered in Vue and textured in PS. Because the Houston mind-set of Drill, Burn, Get Rich, and leave the true environmental costs to our kids is so much at the heart of our climate change dilemma, it was much more satisfying putting Houston six-feet under water than, say, Boston or San Francisco. Although, unfortunately, those sea-level cities would likely be the first to go. What kind of impact would a six-foot rise in sea level have on the US? Multiply Hurricane Katrina by about 1,000 -- and you'll get the idea. The V3 morphs and textures are from the DAZ Tisa figure -- "Tisa's Big Weekend," or something like that. There isn't a whole lot you can do with the DAZ B25 Emo Hair because its morphs are extremely basic. But then again, I didn't want to do a whole lot with the hair. V3's big gun (what could be sexier than a babe with a big gun?) and pose are from the MD "Time Prisoner 3" kit. She's wearing my all-time favorite V3 getup--Aery Soul's "Scorpion Rising." Tisa's mechanical companion is the DAZ Dystopia Drone Trooper. As with yesterday's render, "Horns," the background took a couple of days to complete, while the foreground Poser figures required just a few of hours to prep, prop, pose and render. Anyway, I'm having some minor surgery tomorrow that has a two-week recovery period, so I'm looking forward to many new renders in the days ahead.
