Hello everyone and thanks for looking...
I was looking through the many files I have buried away in my runtime, and I found a hair texture freebie by Bucketload3D for Quarker's Saffire Fox hair, which is one of my favorite old hair props. So I paired it with Rebelmommy's excellent character, and used Colm's Indirect Lighting Studio, and voila! Unfortunately, since most hair (and eyelashes too) use transparency maps, and since those maps usually take a while to render the shadows through them, this seemed to take forever! Probably about 12 to 14 hours. I just started it rendering and chucked the laptop in a corner somewhere to churn. By contrast, if you uncheck the 'visible in raytracing' button on the properties tab, this same picture rendered in about 15 minutes.
What do you think? I really love hearing your comments.

P.S.-- Since Rendo's new credit system doesn't allow you to refer to anything that isn't sold here, I cited other stuff the artists who contributed have in their stores.

The SF hair is one of the first things I bought and I still use it quite often for it's realism. It may be a dated hairstyle but it renders gorgeously. I've got the Bl3D textures for it as well and they're outstanding, nicely blended highlights, etc. It was well worth waiting for, Tom, she's a beauty. I like her demure stance and large expressive eyes. Very nice.

Beautiful portrait although 12 hours seems excessive. I guess that is to do with Colm's Indirect Lighting Studio. I cant see it taking that with standard Daz say.
