Thanks everybody. I rendered first of all the image on the canvas separately and gave a 'painting' effect to it in Photoshop Essentials, saving the result in JPG format. Next I designed the room, introduced the props and the character and added the previous image to the easel as an alpha plane. Light comes from the window, to be found behind the easel, and from a light-point which I situated behind the camera at ceiling level. Luminosity is 2000 W, and the light has a slightly orange colour.
