Thank you for viewing my work. These horizontals are 14x40 inch canvas giclee prints that I do in my home studio. I am just starting to post work I have done over the past few years. A few people think I'm pumping these out.... wish it was true, no like the rest of you it take a lot of time. I am a retired software exec. involved in the development of architectural CAD, who had a secret desire to be an artist. My oldest son, a university professor teaching animation and modeling, pushes me to keep learning to stay sharp.... and I guess out of his hair. My website displays and offer services for those who want period based portraits of themselves..... as well as my personal desires as above. I use Modo, PoserPro, ZBrush, Vue 11 Inf, Painter, and Photoshop in my workflow. My portrait work is based around Photo, Vue, and Painter. If you would like to know more about my efforts, please visit my website, another effort I am learning to do in my retirement, as I fall asleep over many manuals..... I hate reading manuals. For those who wanted to know my hardware configuration: MacPro, 4 core, 11 Gigs ram running a 30", 23" and Wacom tablet....and yes I render in layers or sections to complete these as a final 14x40 inch 300 dpi file when needed.

Interesting but the lady needs some paint and smudge to fit in! Also we can imitate the old master but we don't need to imitate their motives! We can make our own motives and statements but use the style & taste developed for more than 500 years. Also I like the experiment but dispense with the frame! Any 7 year old can make a frame. The frame act as a unworthy insurance policy "I am not serious I'm only playing" (in case anyone should not like).

~Wonderfully done!~

Not sure about the "old" part, but you are definitely a master! I disagree with Vintorix about the frame. In this context, I think it works perfectly. Nicely done!

Nicely done image. I like the background work. I'm not sure about the frame. IMHO, I think it overwhelms and distracts from the picture as well as making the colors seem dull. - Bob

It is a nice image.

Excellent

Excellent idea! You coud have used a "photo filter" to give an oil painting effect to the girl for a best integration with the background. Is it possible?

A beautiful image - and the frame looks lovely!

Jeepers folks!.. It's a WIP. By now most of you are aware that my final finished images are often quite different then these early postings. The addition of a frame is as a target... A reminder that the final effort is to be a framed wall hanging.... Not a book cover, post card, etc.

Actually, I like the frame because it contextualises the intent of the image. For those on Facebook, if interested, the Realms Art page is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Realms-Art/135117903216915 Just press "Like" to subscribe to the page. I post regular (usually daily) updates on project status and other developments. All subscribers get periodic free items that co-incide with product releases -- that is, every time there's a product release, I give something away. The V4 Peasant project is currently at approx 80% completion and due to be in store at Cornucopia3D March 4.
