I struggled a long time with the idea of "forgive and forget." It seemed a rash act, ignoring what went before, forgetting lessons along with wrongs. Letting go of my own anger and pain, not continuing to give them power over how I was feeling ... that's better than "forgive and forget." Got through to the other side, and the outcome might be what those "forgive and forget" people had in mind ... I don't know, 'cause that never made a lot of sense to me. I remember, and act accordingly. There are people I don't have contact with ... not because I'm holding a grudge, but because I'm unwilling to accept their toxic behavior patterns. LOVE the image! Gorgeous colors and softness, and the bubble seems nicely safe to me. Not a place to hide ... it's transparent ... but a place to be apart. As you say, slightly removed. You often touch me with your words and images, dear friend, today more so than most.
