Description
it feels like spring is already around the corner.. but as you can see, there is still a thin layer of ice on the canals.. it is fresh.. one night ice after a very warm January.
Time flies so hard ! Soon the boats will go again.
This used to be a docking place for large boats in 1870-1968.. The one in front for militairy ships, the two in the distance for cargo. Reminders of a forgotten past. -=-

Well, our January in Kansas is one of the coldest and snowy-est in many years. Still we've been much luckier than the MidWest or the Northeast USA.

I can SMELL spring in this picture! The grass is green already, no snow to be seen anywhere (we have about 2-3 feet of snow on the ground and bitter cold), so this is a very hopeful picture to me!!
