Description

Kael Morn, Captain of the Deathstalkers Male Granbretan warrior/Hunter (Skull order) (Non-Player character) A recurring character from a Hawkmoon campaign, a variant of the RPG Stormbringer, set in the “Tragic Millennium Earth” of Michael Moorcock’s novels. H3-11 – Now You Die!: Kael ducked flat against his horse’s neck and spurred the animal forward as the massive log swung only inches over him. But his men were not as quick or as lucky. Their screams mixed with the sound of crushing metal resounded through the wood. He leapt from his saddle as his terrified steed bolted out of control, and turned to see the aftermath. Men and horses lay broken across the road or hung crushed between the massive logs. It was a trap worthy of his own twisted mind; two huge logs hung on stout ropes set to swing into each other along the narrow road as it passed through a small wood. Cruel, deadly and affective! Of his dozen men, half were dead, three others lay dying, and only he had escaped unharmed. As the three skull helmed warriors still able to rose to their feet, two figures stepped from cover at the side of the road behind them, a tall, fair-haired Viking and a woman in full plate armor; two of the Deathstalker’s query, and Kael turned to confront the third. He had been warned that this supposed sorcerer was not like any man seen by a Granbretan before, and he looked the part; tall and lean, with angular features, dressed in half-plate of an odd design under a long surcoat, and held almost causally in one hand was a black steel great sword with arcs of pale blue electricity dancing along its blade. Syn stood alone in the middle of the road facing the devastation his trap had wrought with disappointment; three of the skull helmed warriors had survived in fighting strength and their leader had avoided harm all together. But Tarl and Nykira could handle the bloodied men, he focused upon their captain; who raised his battle ax and lunged forward roaring; “Now you die!” But Kael had barely charged a few feet, before Syn calmly raised his empty hand and drew his fingers together as a blue sorcerous light flickered behind his eyes and the earth, which had been firm and solid an instant before, opened like a great maw. Kael yelled in surprise as he was swallowed up to his chest and the earth clamped shut around him, but an instant of puzzlement crossed Syn’s face as well; the spell should have swallowed his opponent whole. One of the most feared men on Granbretan, Kael rose through the ranks of the Skull order on a tide of blood, brutality and terror! Hand-picking the most loyal and relentless warriors to serve him, he formed the dreaded “Deathstalkers” and was charged with capturing fugitives from the Dark Empire’s “justice”. Unlike most of the Skull order, who deal with prisoners in Granbretan custody, Kael and his elite warriors, the “Deathstalkers”, are charged with capturing those unfortunates declared enemies of the Dark Empire, and have never failed in their task…. Until the renegade Dragon Lord, Daeron Syn, and his companions, Nykira Ammath, a noblewoman and warrior of Normandia, and Tarl Bloodhawk, a Viking of Scandia, escaped Londra and fled across the Silver Bridge. Charged with capturing these fugitives, and slaying any who learn of their escape from Granbretan, Kael has led the “Deathstalkers” on a relentless pursuit across Europe.

Hmmm ... But you know the shadows may remove its forces as ... Wisdom not to say before obtaining his thoughts as my friend. Just for fun with your title. Who should win the coveted the most provocative shows as possible leaving no room for error. Always a superlative work to the glory of your expectations my friend ((5 + +)) Hummm...

Excellent work! Fantastic image and great story - actually I like the idea that Kael was only half swaallowed - it allows for some serious cruelty to be inflicted upon him - measure for measure for all the cruelty he has inflicted in the past
