Description

Another modeling exercise rendered in Vue. I plan to put a few models in 'freestuff' in the future but I first need to learn how to get the polygon count down to a more manageable level. I have yet to learn UV and normal mapping. This model is imported from 3ds Max as a bare, poly-heavy OBJ file. Materials are added in Vue's Material Editor. Thanks for looking!

These stones are getting better and better! A very beautiful house indeed. I have found that UV mapping the walls and the roof on a house is good enough. Enables you to paint on some dirt and displacement on the walls and the roof. The rest goes 'Vue style', as you said.

This architectural design on this house is just jaw dropping Butch!....The detail is incredibly crisp and clean flowing..I knew it was only a matter of time before you had gone and done something along this level of imagination...Surely was worth waiting for...(smile)...Unbelievable Stone Work Buddy!

I hope you give us a birds eye view with all the great models you have created. It feels like one giant paradise culminating in this magnificent house! Superb work, and great composition!

Nice house. To lower polygon count. In vue you can burn the model (lower the polycount) and then output it as an Obj and I think it will retain all the textures. - Bob

Really cool & beautiful composition. The house is great, but certainly looks poly-heavy. 5*

You have such a wonderful way with stonework, I look forward to every new construction. It would be interesting to see an entire birds eye view of all your projects worked into one cohesive landscape. Perhaps once you solve your poly-problems!
