Description

Another pair of photos from my bedroom window, taken at the same time of day. The upper one is from January 11, 2011, the lower one from January 25, 2011. There's no snow on the roof of the parking building in the lower image. The pile of snow/ice behind the lamp post is 1 meter smaller now, as are the two piles on the grass. The contrasts between these two photos are interesting, particularily the light. Compare with my post of December 21, 2010, where there are not yet any big piles of snow (see http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2141009&user_id=5273&np&np ). It's been drizzling off and anon the past week, but with a biting, damp cold. This evening it snowed 1/2 cm.. Wonder what the next months will hold?

Interesting, and nice side-by-side, err, vertically! It may be thawing, but winter is only half over. There may be a third shot added to this collection yet. Oh, boy... I see all those bicycles and think of the one-and-only time I tried to ride a bike in the snow. Let's just say that I spent a fair amount of time lying on the ground!

Wonderful comparison! As for riding the bike in the snow, it can be done BUT you feel like you've ridden triple

Really quite a difference! But ultimately enjoy the cyclists that they can go again!

Isn't it fun when the pictures come right to you...I had that in my last house with birds. Nice comparison to give us a feel for where you live.
