Description

This stone was found on the beach today embraced tenaciously by the roots of an ancient driftwood log... This tree tried to hold on for dear life but obviously took part of its' foundation with it when it fell. Bill "Working with Available Light"

I've seen some trees like this over the years. Fascinating how nature finds a way - almost as if the tree has some kind of consciousness or will. You've done a nice job catching the textures here - the contrast is interesting. While the textures contrast, the shapes are complementary (all are rounded in one manner or other). By the way, I find your present avatar interesting - was it taken by Tara? :-)

Wow, what a find in this rarity! Love the abstract effects and textures of the highly possessive roots enveloping the stone, Bill. Actually, the roots look like a long braid of hair.
