Description

As illustrator usually I creates artworks for book covers or magazines on demand, but I long toyed with the idea to create illustrations of classic science fiction novels to put on the royalty free market, as usual for my spare pruduction. Here's the cover (the fifth of my "classic sci-fi series" - take a look to the other ones) of the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick first published in 1968. The Nexus 6 android is similar to that which appears in Blade Runner, and also some other items of the image are in the movie, but the illustration is deliberately different because it is the cover of the novel and not the film poster. I hope you will like it! :) Rendered in Poser 7, background in Bryce 7, postwork with Photoshop 7 and Dynamic-Photo HDR. The original file is 2545x3579 pixels. Luca Oleastri (a.k.a. duo, a.k.a. Another brilliant cover! You're right, the story is quite different from the movie. Very nicely done. Bravo!

Great! He looks like Rutger Hauer from the movie version! But I still in some way like the novel better compared to the movie! Excellent scifi-classic serie! :o)

One of your best - The character is terrific - has a flavor of Roy Batty without looking just like Rutger.
