Description

While sat in a hide looking out for waterfoul, two swans came upto the hide. They sat against the outside wall of the wooden hide. When they heared us inside with food they looked in. So strange to be in a hide when a wild bird comes to look at you through the hide windows. You realise how tall they can streach when a head pops in. It was pretty dark with the hide in the shade, but always worth a try. I was surprised by the result taken on my little compact. The feathers of white birds is often a disaster, it seems the shade was my saviour! 25mm - f 3.3 - 1/200sec - 200ASA

You were so lucky to see them close up Kevin. This is a most marvellous detailed photograph. They are amongst my favourite birds; so elegant and so proud. Thankyou for sharing your day:-)
