Description

Wow... It's been a while :) Those months hadn't been totally wasted though. Here's what I've been up to: a) I'm learning modelling and finally I can model something more complicated than vases :P; b) my uvmapping is getting better - still horrible, but better; c) I've changed my texturing workflow. I don't rely on photos as much as I used to, and I focus more on bumps; d) I learnt how to make custom INJ morphs (I know - pure genius!) and finally... e) I started a new girl. f) I've made myself flowing-windy-hair-kit-thingy ...thus this quick pic. I hope you're all doing well in this new year!

Love it Faaeria, it been a while! I started my textures too in a new format but I solely rely on Photos lol Check my gallery if you like. Do you plan to release this character, I'm thinking I might with one or two of mine.

yay! i'm in about the same boat you're in. i can model stuff, but my uvmapping still has some ways to go. that said, i suggest studying the UV mapping of existing products. on the one hand, i got some good ideas. on the other, i got to see that i was a lot better at it than i thought, at least comparatively. it's funny you mention the hair kit. i was just considering doing some sort of painted hair thing, just because i find painting hair so fun. your painting always amazes me. you do such gorgeous work. are you using linear workflow at all? i just ask because of the slight bloom on the body here and the bloom on the forehead. it's still above and beyond where i've been able to get, though. your characters are just incredible. highly inspiring!
