Description

This picture is for you Angel, because at the deepest night there is always also a light... In the Middle Ages there was still a sort of a police closing hour. The sidewalks were virtually folded up and everything had to go in the bed. Well, only the bad boys still crept by the night to steal the one or others. However, there was the city guard which provided for order. This man looks afterwards as if he took seriously his occupation very much. Yes that is the way it use to be..There was also a lantern lighter but think that came later...Like the way the lantern is lit up. Beautiful job on this one.

Wonderful portrait of a well needed character for the time. Great lighting, POV and his expression is superb. He looks as if he could walk right off the monitor and into this room. Superb work in every way.
