Description

Mandelbulb 3d/PS7 Sort of a tribute to my favorite Artist H.R.Giger whose work has has captivated me since I first saw some of it in the Old Omni Magazine in the late 70s. His nightmarish Biomechanical imagery was a form of Therapy for his Sleep Disorder of Night Terrors, representations of his Nightmares. One of the things that drew me to Fractals to begin with was the Giger-like quality I saw in so many of them, MB3d brings that quality even closer. Great texturing and detail in this image! I am also a big fan of Giger. Another artist that often comes to mind when I see MB images is Gaudi.

Amazing image Len. This one has the definate feel of being in the basement of a large structure of some kind, down where all the steam pipes, air ducts and such pass by.

Hmmmm, guess I have something missing from my past experiences that prevents me from making the connection between this fractal and the title. BUT, I like it none-the-less Len. It has a fascinating design to it and excellent colors.

Before I read your intro on this amazing fractal I thought, Wow this is Giger! And then you confirmed it. Fantastic job on this remarkable image. I find your reference to Giger's night terrors quite interesting. Lovecraft had the same thing.In fact one of his Old Ones was named Nyarlhotep and he encountered this entity in his nightmares. Some think this kicked off his entire Cthulhu mythos. Kind of makes one wonder, even the alien-like appearance of these fractals. This could be a great plot for a Lovecraft story! Excellent work, as always!!!!!
