Description
Certainly not a perfect picture (especially when looking at the beautiful birds in danob’s gallery...) but:
1) It’s my first bird of prey in_flight capture
2) The Red Kite is my favourite among the 15 species flying around in South Belgium
This week-end in Belgium, it’s the annual census of the birds in the gardens... (see HERE: Devine qui vient manger chez nous aujourd’hui ? but the weather is rainy and very windy...

Well done Michel not going to get a lot closer in flight for wild birds at 200mm.. Try +1 or even +2 stops of exposure compensation with backlit birds.. Spot metering can help at times also.. Great to see Red kites still doing well over there.

We Have Mississippi Kites here in Oklahoma USA in the summer months, one of the most entertaining birds of prey to watch, very nice capture
