Unfortunately, to non-Americans this comic is far more subtle.
I thought that females having this attitude towards sports was a pretty dated stereotype until I saw this exchange on a talk show recently (slightly paraphrased):
ACTRESS: Um, well there's a ball, and they paint white lines on the field, and, uh... they run around a lot... That's all I know.
HOST: So I take it you're not that excited about the Superbowl.
ACTRESS: Not at all. The TV network offered me two free tickets but I turned them down.
HOST: You did what!? Even if you didn't want to go, those tickets are selling for thousands of dollars apiece!
ACTRESS: Wow... Think of all the DRESSES I could have bought with that money!
But, in defense of the ladies, women on principle don't dislike sports; they dislike men obsessively watching sports. This is because it diverts men from things like mowing the lawn in favor of different tasks, such as making sure the fridge doesn't have too much beer in it.

Ha! Kelly sure's got a good one going on that poor guy! Now, HE doesn't seem to be all that into what's up in the sports arena! And, just thinking of him trying to find the hypothetical game on TV so HE can have something to brag about to his friends. And the embarassment finding out the girls have fooled him - no way he'll let the other boys know. Ah, teen-agers. And the wiliness of the female mind. Creates all kinds of situations. Another great on, MrGorf. Keep up the good work! :-)
