Description

Water, Earth, Fire, Air. The four elements can be bent to one's will – but only one can control all four: The Avatar. I am not ashamed to say that I am a rather big fan of the TV series (note I say TV series, *not* film) 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'. It came very close to a concept I had for a film (unfortunately for me, a bit too close) where martial arts and control over the elements were combined to create a magical world that was heavily inspired by the ancient Asian cultures (my concept expanded beyond just Asia, though). I fell in love within minutes of watching an episode and I never looked back. I have taken the lead character, Aang, the last of his kind – an Airbender, a race of warrior monks, who preferred peaceful ways, to those of violence (think Shaolin meets Tibet). Aang also happens to be the Avatar – an incarnate bridge to the spirit world and a guardian warrior of the Earth itself. Unlike many in this world, Aang can control all four elements and in the 'Avatar state', Aang wields incredible power - using all four elements in combination (or alone) with some astounding results. During the series, you follow Aang as he grows up and tries to figure out just how to control this power. The series ends with Aang about thirteen-ish. I decided to take Aang and age him a bit - taking him to a 20-something, fully realized Avatar. I quite like how this turned out! Hope you enjoy. Great textures. I like how you combined the 4 elements. The "frame" is cool idea.
