Description
Even tug boats have a reverse gear! A very powerful thrust to be sure...
I took this while on a boat trip around Cape Town harbour last year.

Not really a reverse gear, that type will have an azimuth drive which will rotate to provide full thrust in any direction. Alternately, it could have a Voith-Schneider drive which will do the same but is infinitely more fascinating to see in action.
