Description

It don't mean a thing (if it ain't got that swing) Duke Ellington I took this shot when I entered the garden of a 18th century villa in a small town on the outskirts of Padova. The villa is usually closed and can be rented for events, in case you may fancy it. Usually also the garden is closed, but the gate was left open by someone, and by chance I was there at the right moment. I succeeded in taking a number of shots, then the warden kindly told me the garden was closed to strangers. Actually, we spent some minutes chatting about this and that. The old, forlorn swing and the lonely, empty bench told me a story of children that won't swing and nannies that won't fuss any longer. I left the garden and its kind warden in a melancholic mood. Thank you for your kind comments.

I love this photo, the mood, the light the atmosphere. It brings old memories back, because: "To sit on a swing is the most wonderful thing"!

Bho! Non so per quale motivo, ma in questo tuo lavoro ho come la sensazione che questo giardino, in un qualche modo, stesse piangendo. Excellent work, Sandra 5*:)

WOW - this really a very special capture, of great times gone by - only one thing missing, the children and laughter, of course ... and to make it come back to live again ! Lovely presentation Sandra, BB

Das Bild macht mich traurig. Einsam und verlassen. Vielleicht liegt es auch an der Jahreszeit. Ein emotionales Bild. Sehr gut!
