What a wonder! I love the whole thing, but what really grabs me is the robed figure with his/her back to the viewer, so you can't tell if it's a statue or an actual living presence in the room. A ghost? An observer? A guard or chaperone? Who knows? But it's wonderful. The whole scene works really well, and though it's romantic on the surface, there seems to be something a bit softer underneath it--well, you can't get much softer than romance, but maybe it's the expressions on the faces of the two characters and the poses you've created. There's a vulnerability that I like. This is really good stuff!

Great scene. It looks like an angel and death watch over a forbidden love. What will come of their passion? Excellent work.

Excellent attention to detail as in all of your work. The lacework on the woman's dress is beautifully intricate. I love your use of the background curtains to provide diffused light to the overall scene. The hanging plants in the large urn are perfect. I must say, however, even though it is not central to the piece, my favorite component is the Angel (reminds me of depictions I have seen of "winged victory"). If I had your competence and talent in this medium (which I most assuredly do not)I would do something where the angel is the central theme. As always, Monica, superb work!
