wish to god max would create decent trees. Even tree druid trees look like crap.

Hey, soft lighting can be good. What screw this image is low saturation, too much white, bad color contast. if you have acces to photoshop, try use Hue/saturation adjustment, its somewhere in menus. Let green be green, yellow yelow, red gray, errr, red, and so on. It seems to me that you dont miss skills, but you miss knowledge.
