Independent News Network 17th July 2610 -Special News Update- We have just received images of the Federation assault on the Dayton-Aomori controlled world of Gohara. Two of the world's three major cities have been taken after meeting stiff resistance from D-A security troops. The third and largest city, Kaitar, is expected to be liberated within days. Network sources have hinted that Federation forces have suffered a higher than expected casualty rate taking this world. The number is also reported to be still rising as fighting rages on in the deserts and barren crags of the Goharan landscape, where an unusually large amount of D-A resistance appears to be located. A Federal military spokesman said all operations were proceeding well, and high numbers of casualties were always to be expected when trying to take built up areas intact, and especially so when those areas were still inhabited.
