Description

We are back near the Eiffel Tower, Fermi in the decision to address the queue to climb. In reality you can only go up until the second stop, you can not 'go to the top due to the strong wind that swings the tower above normal. It 'still a sight to behold! The Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel in French) is the most famous monument in Paris and is known worldwide as a symbol of the city itself and France. It was named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, who built the internal structure of the Statue of Liberty. Is visited on average each year over five and a half million tourists. In 2006 he was in ninth place among the most visited sites in France, and is the most visited paid monument in the world with 6,893,000 visitors in 2007 [1]. Its maintenance, from 1981 to 2005, was curated by Societe Nouvelle d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SNTE). From 2006 to 2015 it was entrusted to the SociÃÃ©tÃÃ© d'exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE). The property, with its 324 meters is the highest in Paris, was built in less than two years, from 1887 to 1889, was supposed to serve as an entry at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, a World's fair to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution. Opened March 31, 1889, was officially opened on May 6 of that year after only two years, two months and five days of work. Three hundred metalworkers assemble the 18,038 pieces of forged iron, using half a million bolts (which were replaced during the construction itself, with red-hot rivets). Given the security situation existing at that time, it's surprising that only one worker has died during the construction of the tower (during the installation of lifts). The tower is 324 meters with its antenna (rooftop TV antennas are 20 meters high) and weighs 10,000 tons but its foundations derive just 15 feet below ground level. For 40 years it was the tallest structure in the world. For its maintenance are also 50 tons of paint every 7 years. Depending on the ambient temperature the height of the Eiffel Tower can vary by several inches because of the expansion of the metal (up to 15 cm higher during the summer heat). During windy on top of the tower oscillations can occur up to 12 cm. Good evening and good weekend Thanks for the comments and the favourites of previous image
