Description

Several years back, I was at a truck stop in Jacksonville Florida when I dropped some popcorn on the ground. Within seconds, there were many birds flying in to see what the goods were. Trying something I never tried before, I held the camera with my right hand up under my chin with the shutter set a fast as I could. In the left hand, I held the popcorn high above my shoulder. As I saw a bird swoop in, I would start snapping the pictures. Some photos were nothing more than flying corn or a tail feather, but some like this came out very well. If you would like to see more, let me know. Gib Just got this in the mail 2-14-2011 about this photograph... "Congratulations! On behalf of the entire Photography staff, I am pleased to inform you that one of your recent gallery images has been selected for our Last Week in the Gallery Feature. Each week, the Photography staff selects 30 images that "deserve a second look" Be sure to stop by the forum and check out Last Week in the Gallery 7. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2821894&page=1#message_3764763 Once again, congratulations on being selected and thank you for sharing your work here at Renderosity. This must have been a real challenge. Sometimes it takes a lot of shooting to get "the one" but you really got it. Great work!

Yep, that's how you get the good shots!...get clever and don't stop clicking. Wonderful shot...with the light and shadow component. That's the happiest accident...the line of shadow perfectly divides him between the real world and the 'netherworld'...quite magical.
