Description

M/B I wish all visitors of my gallery, an excellent weekend of dreams. I hope that those who suffer receive new soothing. Life is priceless and is so short. Enjoy your visit and ... THANKS! Terraforming (literally, "Earth-forming") of a planet, moon, or other body is the hypothetical process of deliberately modifying its atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology to be similar to those of Earth to make it habitable by terran organisms. The term is sometimes used more generally as a synonym for planetary engineering, although some consider this more general usage an error. The concept of terraforming developed from both science fiction and actual science. The term was coined by Jack Williamson in a science-fiction story ("Collision Orbit") published during 1942 in Astounding Science Fiction,[1] but the concept may pre-date this work. Based on experiences with Earth, the environment of a planet can be altered deliberately: however the feasibility of creating an unconstrained planetary biosphere that mimics Earth on another planet has yet to be verified. Mars is considered by many to be the most likely candidate for terraforming. Much study has been done concerning the possibility of heating the planet and altering its atmosphere, and NASA has even hosted debates on the subject. Several potential methods of altering the climate of Mars may fall within humanity's technological capabilities, but at present the economic resources required to do so are far beyond that which any government or society is willing to allocate to the purpose. The long timescales and practicality of terraforming are the subject of debate. Other unanswered questions relate to the ethics, logistics, economics, politics, and methodology of altering the environment of an extraterrestrial world. from WikiPedia, the free encyclopedia.

You did it, to a special way to show how something can be transformed. A wonderful image and fractal. It could be a photo of space. Magnifique indeed!

Nice Box surface, Kansas Wheat fields on Planet Menger. I doubt Mankind will last long enough to either perfect or even try the process of Terraforming in a positive way. We've already perfected the Terraforming process of transforming our Planet to so much lifeless Radioactive Rubble in short order, that seems more our destiny than Farming the Galaxies. Peace

Superbe composition !! Une très belle image, Claude !! Bravo !!

Great image, maybe in the future we will have to do this to another planet for our own place to lice.

Very beautiful picture, with the most lovely colors. We might try terraforming right here on Earth and repair the damage we've done here. Then we'd have some practice before we try Mars. Still what a wonderful idea finding and building new worlds far off in space...

Superb job of terraforming in this concept of a future Mars, Claude. It looks like a vast grid terrain of trees on the surface. I also see that the planet went from a reddish atmosphere to a blue one.
