Description

They grow so fast. This is a quick snap I took of my son Joshua on the way to his 3rd day at school. A friend told me the next day that is his first step towards leaving home and he is only 3 and 3/4 years old. I was the 2nd last parent the teacher chased away on his first day. He tried very hard to stop me from leaving and it was very hard for me to go but at least I wasn't the last and there were no tears, well not from him anyway :). Now it looks like I have to get some tips from Carin on child photography. I sort of understand what Efron said below as well and I have had thoughts of selling up everything, quitting my job, finding a special place to live and bringing my kids up my way but I'm not so sure I am right anymore either. And just like Efron I also drove my teachers nuts and I actually had a great time at school.

It is not so good that people send kids to school at that age As if parents can't teach their kids things about life Image all the years I was at school.. and what did it teach me... what did I realy learn there... School isn't good for kids.. It is one of the worst inventions men made The best captains of Industry are those who never finished school I did finish it.. but everything I earn money with was learned after school Ha ha.. i even learned how to ski without ever taking lessons.. and boating too.. School should be out for summer, authum, winter and spring... It is time for a revolution. People can raise their own kids.. We do not need education.. time for another brick in that wall ! Teacher.. leave these kids alone ha ha ha School was fun.. I drove the teachers crazy

Ohh, I know Joshua doesnt want me to say this but...... He is soooo cute! :))) Such an adorable little guy with his backpack, making his first steps to the big school. I dont think school is bad for a childs development. As you both guys here above me both stated, you also had a lot of fun :)

wonderful photo of this young man! they do grow up so fast. As for school, as long as the parents are ACTIVELY involved with the child's education, then by all means let him go to school.

Wow, what a great shot. It brings back Many many memories. My youngest is 12, going on 23. My Oldest is 29, I remember 7 years ago when she left, and hasn't been back. Take as many pics as your hard drive will hold, cus they DO grow up fast, and just like all of us, we seldom look back, once gone. well, gone. Great share!!! My friend!

Oh Martin - how Josh has grown! I cannot believe that the little guy is now a handsome young man! Gosh he is sweet. As to Efron's comment - someone once said that you should never let school interfere with education. There is a definite place for school IMHO but eduacation comes from life experiences taught by parents, grandparents and own mistakes!!! As to child photography... Thanks for the compliment! I just have a very willing model who loves to pose! :):):)

Wow, they grow up so fast. What a handsome fella he is becoming. You will have to beat the girls off pretty soon. As for the education issue, well that is a matter of opinion. Some do home schooling and some do no schooling. I think school teaches them more then just the 3r's and it is a matter of how involved the parents are in the childrens education. They do not only learn at school, they also learn at home and from their environment. Most kids are a product of their environemnt not of their school. You teach them your values and they will become sucessful. It is those darn computers and computer games that are actually more damaging to our kids then school. I am thinking some of them don't even know what the real world looks like or what is going on. Anyway, Martin, we know you and your wife will do the best you can and that is really all you can do.

Great shot of the first day of school. I enjoyed the early years, but got bullied by gym teachers in Jr. High and hated school then. I agree with efron 241 in that my real education began after graduation in the school of life.
